This article gives a high-level overview of the HUM Driver app and where to find key features. For step-by-step guides, see the related Help Center articles linked below.
App features may look slightly different on iOS and Android, but the core menus and functions are the same.
1. Logging In
Open the HUM Driver app.
Enter your phone number.
Tap to generate a one-time passcode (OTP).
You will receive the OTP via SMS. Enter it to log in.
We recommend enabling your phone’s auto-fill / OTP detection to speed this up.
Note: Only one phone number per driver account / vehicle is supported.
2. Going Online / Offline
The HUM Driver ON/OFF toggle controls your availability for all HUM activity, including Private Rides, On-Demand, Pre-Scheduled, and Live Requests.
ON (required for driving on HUM)
Set your status to ON when:
You are available to receive ride requests
You plan to conduct a Private Ride
You are beginning your work time on HUM
Your app must be ON for:
Insurance coverage to apply when conducting Private Rides
Receiving On-Demand requests
Receiving Pre-Scheduled reminders
Receiving Live Requests
Logging your active driving time on HUM
OFF
Set to OFF when:
You are done driving for the day
You are not accepting any form of HUM trips
You want to stop receiving requests
Turning the app OFF marks the end of your driving availability.
You do not need to log out — the toggle is sufficient.
3. Main Menu (Hamburger Menu)
Tap the menu icon (☰) in the top-left corner to open the main menu. You will see options such as:
Home
Map view of your current location.

Private / Manual Ride

Required for HUM’s commercial coverage on Private Rides.
Payment is collected directly from the rider (outside the app).
See: What Is a Private Ride and How to Conduct a Private Ride.
Scheduled Rides / Live Requests
(If available in your market)
Scheduled Rides: Trips that a passenger pre-booked and you accepted.
Live Requests: Pre-scheduled trips that lost their original driver and are now up for grabs.
See: Ride Types (On-Demand, Pre-Scheduled, Live Requests).

4. Profile & Stripe (Payouts)
From the app:
Open the menu (☰).
Tap your profile picture or name to open Profile.
Tap the Edit icon (pencil) to access Account Details.
