HUM maintains a strict Zero-Tolerance Policy regarding the use of drugs or alcohol by drivers while using the HUM platform. The safety of passengers, drivers, and the public is our top priority.
This policy applies to all driving conducted through the HUM Driver App, including Private Rides, On-Demand Rides, Pre-Scheduled Rides, and Live Requests.
1. Prohibited Conduct
Drivers are strictly prohibited from:
Operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or any controlled substance
Consuming alcohol or drugs while operating a HUM trip
Consuming alcohol within 4 hours prior to driving on HUM
Possessing open containers of alcohol in the vehicle
Possessing or using illegal drugs or controlled substances in the vehicle
Operating under the influence of prescription or over-the-counter medication that impairs driving ability
Any violation of this policy will result in immediate investigation and possible suspension or permanent deactivation.
2. Reporting a Zero-Tolerance Violation
Passengers or drivers who reasonably suspect a violation of this policy must report it immediately.

Description of the concern
HUM will acknowledge and investigate all zero-tolerance reports promptly.
3. California Passenger Reporting (Required Notice)
For rides occurring in California, passengers may also report concerns directly to:

This reporting option is required by state law for all TNC operators.
4. HUM Investigation Process
When HUM receives a zero-tolerance report:
The driver may be temporarily suspended during review.
HUM will investigate the claim, including reviewing account data, ride activity, and statements from all parties.
Based on findings, HUM may reinstate, suspend, or permanently deactivate the driver.
HUM reserves the right to take any action necessary to protect passenger and driver safety.
5. Consequences of Violations
Violations of this policy may result in:
Immediate suspension
Permanent deactivation
Reporting to appropriate regulatory agencies
Loss of access to the HUM platform across all service areas
