HUM Wallet (Tolls & Flex Private Rides) – Help Center

Used for: Airport tolls and Flex Private Ride insurance assessments

Your HUM Wallet is an in-app balance used to automatically cover airport tolls and Flex Private Ride insurance assessments. Because Private Rides are paid directly between you and the rider, HUM deducts these required fees from your Wallet to keep trips compliant and uninterrupted.

Your Wallet must remain funded for you to complete Private Rides successfully.

Why the Wallet Matters

During Private Rides, HUM must deduct:

Airport Tolls

Airport tolls apply when entering or exiting airport property.
HUM does not collect tolls from the passenger – you must include them in your quoted fare.
The toll amount is automatically deducted from your Wallet when the toll is triggered.

Flex Insurance Assessments

Flex drivers pay a per-trip insurance assessment for commercial coverage on Private Rides.
This assessment is deducted from your Wallet after the ride ends.

If your Wallet lacks funds, Private Rides requiring these charges may be blocked.

Wallet Requirements

Minimum Required Balance

You must maintain a minimum Wallet balance of $10.00 at all times.

If your balance is under $10, you may be unable to:

Start or complete airport Private Rides
Complete Flex Private Rides
Cover tolls or assessments associated with your trip

Auto-Recharge

When funds are insufficient, HUM automatically charges your saved payment card $25 and replenishes your Wallet.

Wallet funds are non-refundable.

Wallet Setup

Add a Payment Card

Android:
Earnings tab → Wallet balance → Add Card

iOS:
Wallet tab → Add Card

This card is only used to fund your Wallet for tolls and Flex insurance assessments.

Airport Toll Procedure for Private Rides

Before Accepting the Ride

Check whether the route includes an airport
Ensure your Wallet is above $10

When Quoting the Fare

Include the airport toll(s):

Sky Harbor (PHX): $5.15
Mesa Gateway (AZA): $3.50
Tucson International (TUS): $3.50
San Diego International (SAN): $5.00

After the Ride

The toll is automatically deducted from your Wallet.

Flex Private Ride Insurance Assessment Procedure

Before Accepting the Ride (Flex only)

Ensure your Wallet is above $10.

When Quoting Your Fare

Include the per-trip assessment:

Arizona / Idaho: ~$5.00
California: ~$7.50

After the Ride

The assessment is deducted automatically from your Wallet.

Important Reminders

Keep your Wallet above $10 at all times
Always include tolls and Flex insurance assessments in your quoted fare
Wallet auto-recharges in $25 increments
Wallet funds cannot be refunded
Monitor your Wallet regularly
